DailySip · Intelligent hydration goals

Your water goal. Your data. Your day.

DailySip combines your Apple Health data with local weather and your daily factors. Weight, movement and personal settings shape a drinking goal that can adapt throughout the day, with a breakdown that shows every contribution.

Apple Health provides the starting point

Your weight forms the basis of the calculation. With your permission, DailySip also uses active calories, workouts and steps from Apple Health. Activity outside workouts and training appear as separate contributions. If Health weight is unavailable, your saved weight can be used.

An active day changes your suggestion

New activity data can change your goal during the day. A workout or extra steps can therefore contribute to the calculation. Open “How your goal was calculated” to see the individual contributions instead of just a final number.

Weather you can put in context

DailySip considers your local daily maximum temperature. At 23 °C or above, you can enable weather mode; above 26 °C, the app can suggest it. If you spent most of the day in cool rooms, turn it off again. You decide whether the heat actually affected your day.

Daily factors add what Health cannot know

Account for creatine, a high-protein or salty diet, sauna, alcohol and fever through daily factors. Select the relevant settings and see how they affect the calculated suggestion.

Understand every contribution

The detail view separates the baseline, activity, workouts, steps, temperature, fever and other factors. Limits and rounding of the result are also shown.

A fixed goal takes priority

Set your own daily goal in Settings to replace all automatic adjustments. This also applies when a medical professional has given you a specific drinking target. The automatic calculation offers orientation and does not replace medical advice.

Frequently asked questions

Which Apple Health data can change the goal?

The calculation can use weight, active calories, workouts, steps and an available body temperature. Available values depend on your data and permissions.

Does hot weather change my goal without a choice?

The weather contribution depends on weather mode being active. You can enable it at a daily maximum of 23 °C; above 26 °C, DailySip can suggest it. You can also disable it.

Can I set a fixed personal goal?

Yes. An enabled custom goal replaces all automatic adjustments from Health data, weather and daily factors.
