Opsino · Clear measurement guidance

A color name. With guidance you can use.

When conditions are poor, a result alone is not enough. Opsino adds practical guidance to help you understand the reading.

Know when the camera is still adjusting

White balance, exposure and focus sometimes need a moment. Opsino shows when these settings are still active. Wait briefly, hold your iPhone steady and measure again.

Improve the light or the surface

Very dark or overexposed areas contain little usable color information. Movement, several colors in the circle or a shade near a naming boundary can also trigger guidance. Opsino indicates when better lighting or a more even patch may help.

Read the last measurement in context

The result stays visible as Last measurement. When limitations are detected, the color name starts with Possibly. Guidance about the current camera image appears separately. Image appears stable means no corresponding issues were detected; it does not prove the object's true color.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the result say Possibly?

Opsino detected limitations during the reading. Read the guidance, improve the conditions where possible and try again.

Is there an accuracy percentage?

No. Opsino describes the measurement conditions in words. It does not turn these indicators into a supposedly exact probability for the color name.
